About Body Nurture Massage

Massage that supports life changes
If you’re navigating change,  in your body, your energy, or your life, Body Nurture Massage offers gentle, professional support to help you feel more at home in yourself again.
The body responds best when it feels heard, supported, and respected.

Hi, I’m Rebecca, a qualified remedial massage therapist, mum of one, and Ballarat local. I work from a simple, home-based clinic in Newington, offering personalised massage that supports the physical and emotional changes that often arrive in midlife.

My approach to remedial massage is nurturing, not forceful. Each session is shaped around how your body feels on the day - whether you’re carrying muscular tightness, emotional load, or simply the need to slow down and reconnect.

A quiet space for bodies are asking for care

My home-based clinic is intentionally simple and non-clinical, designed to feel calm, private, and welcoming. Many clients describe it as a pause from the outside world, a place where they can finally exhale.

  • your body is respected, not pushed

  • pain is listened to, not ignored

  • care is personalised, not standardised

Massage can be a powerful support during times of transition, helping ease muscle tension, encourage relaxation, and support your nervous system as it adapts to change.

A growing practice, built on trust

Body Nurture Massage is a growing practice, built through word-of-mouth and returning clients.

I hold a Diploma of Remedial Massage and choose to grow slowly and thoughtfully, prioritising depth of care over volume. My focus isn’t just on treating conditions, it’s on supporting comfort, balance, and wellbeing in a way that feels human and respectful.

Client Feedback

I received a beautiful massage at Body Nurture Massage in Ballarat. Rebecca helped me completely relax and unwind after a busy week of travel and not being able to move and stretch as much as I normally like to.

Thank you Rebecca you allowed my body to feel like itself again.

Having a massage with Rebecca was heaven. I was visiting Ballarat from QLD, and it was so relaxing in lovely, calm surrounds. The massage was top notch and I didn’t want it to end. Hopefully I’ll be back again for another soon.

A quiet space for women whose bodies are changing, and asking for care

Many of the women I see are in their 40s, 50s, and early 60s, balancing work, family, stress, sleep changes, hormonal shifts, and the quiet realisation that what used to “just work” in their body doesn’t anymore. Muscle tension lingers longer. Recovery feels slower. Stress sits deeper.

FAQs

Is Relaxation Massage the Same as a Spa Massage?

It’s calming, but still grounded in therapeutic care.
The focus is on meaningful relaxation, not just indulgence.

Can Relaxation Massage Help With Poor Sleep?

Many women find it helps them feel more settled at night.
Calming the nervous system can make it easier to drift into deeper rest.

What If I Need to Cancel?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know the day before your appointment.
You’re always welcome to contact Rebecca directly to rearrange.

Do I Have to Pay a Deposit?

No deposit is required.
You simply pay on the day of your appointment.

What Remedial Session Duration is best?

It depends on what your body needs right now. If you have one clear problem area, 30 minutes is usually enough. If tension involves a couple of connected areas, 45 minutes gives us more space to treat it properly. If everything feels tight or it’s been building for a while, 60 minutes allows for a more thorough, unrushed session.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable arriving in. During the session, you’ll be appropriately draped with towels. If you prefer to keep more clothing on, we can adapt techniques accordingly.

What should I do after my massage?

Hydrate, keep movement gentle, and avoid smashing a heavy workout immediately after deep tissue work (unless that’s been discussed as part of your plan).

Do I need to be in pain to book remedial massage?

Not at all. Many clients book to prevent issues building up, especially if they sit a lot, train regularly, or carry stress in their body.

Book a session when you’re ready

Whether you’re carrying tension, or simply needing space to slow down, your session is shaped around what your body needs.
